I am a Lead Front End Engineer who has a passion for graphic and interaction design.

About Me

I am a Front-End Developer based in Indiana. I started developing for the web professionally in 2015 and have not stopped creating beautiful, useful and intuitive websites since! I heard a term once in a podcast that I feel describes my passion, a “User Defender”. Usability is always at the forefront of anything I design or build. I love creating great designs that just plain work!

Some of my hobbies include spending time with my family, tinkering with new technology, video games, painting miniature figures and I love a good craft beer while playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends!

Places I've Worked

Lead Front End Engineer @ Qumulex

December 2025 - Present

Own the front end of a Vue.js, TypeScript and Vite application, from UI direction to ongoing maintenance.
Shape new features in Figma and build them out, both large and small.
Build interfaces backed by GraphQL and REST APIs for a product that pairs software with hardware.
Collaborate closely with a small team and use Claude for AI-assisted development.

Contract Work

Full-stack Developer @ StartupWerx

October 2025 - March 2026

Built Next.js and TypeScript interfaces on a short-term full-stack contract, focusing on front-end architecture and performance.
Developed back-end APIs and data handling in Python and MySQL to support the front end.
